Career History
I specialise in family law, having trained at a top regional law firm and qualifying in 2010. In 2014 I moved to a firm in Buckingham as head of their Family Department before joining Neves in December 2021 as an Associate.
Experience
I am a member of Resolution and hold a Specialist Accreditation in Private Children Law and ToLATA (cohabitation) matters. I am also a trained collaborative lawyer and member of the Milton Keynes group of collaborative lawyers. I am a Resolution Together specialist lawyer. Resolution Together, developed by Resolution, is a way of working that allows lawyers to work with and advise couples jointly, including providing appropriate legal advice, through a divorce or separation.
Whilst my work is largely focused on financial settlements arising from relationship breakdowns and child related issues, I have experience in all areas of family law, including but not limited to, assisting grandparents with their grandchildren through special guardianship orders and child arrangements, acting for clients with assets abroad such as in India and Europe, or those with family farms and businesses. I have also dealt with child relocation cases and complex cases dealing with narcissistic individuals.
I am a member of the Family Law team that is listed in the Legal 500 2025 edition.
Legal 500 editorial comment "The ‘dynamic and committed’ family team at Neves offers experience in a broad range of matters, including cohabitant disputes, nuptial agreements, and sensitive financial and children disputes arising out of separation."
Testimonial collected by Legal 500 "They are the most dynamic and committed team I have worked with. Experience at all levels means that they are able to offer a comprehensive service to all clients across all areas. The team are very dedicated to each and every client. Importantly, they are exceptionally well organised. All applications and case preparation is done well in advance."
Being recommended by Legal 500 provides clients with an independent assessment of our ability, gives a flavour of who we are and what sets us apart from other law firms. Follow the web link for full details of the Legal 500 rankings.
What makes me human
I have two young children who take up most of my free time, but when not working and doing activities with the family, I love spending time with friends and reading. I enjoy fundraising and charity work and in the past I regularly contributed to pro bono work at the CAB, assisting with family matters.
The Family Justice Council has recently provided guidance to the courts in dealing with cases where children may show alienating behaviour towards one parent or carer.

Tina Shah is brilliant. I cannot recommend her enough. I tracked her down to Neves after she helped me at her old firm. She’s kind and helpful and her advice is honestly priceless. For the 2nd time she has helped me to deal with a horrible situation quickly and sensibly. If you’re going through a divorce or having issues with your ex you won’t regret contacting her.
